Montane Winter Spine Race 2027 for North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team
From photographing runners in ultra races to running an ultra race!
Before my 35th birthday, I challenged myself to enter and complete a 100-mile ultra and what better way to join my fellow team members in the North Dartmoor Search and Rescue team in the Montane Winter Spine MRT Challenge South in January 2027.
108 miles non-stop, Edale, Derbyshire to Hawes, North Yorkshire.
We are raising money for our team. We depend on fundraising and donations from the public to continue doing what we do - Search and Rescue in whatever the weather, whatever the time of day, anytime of the year.
In addition to raising money and awareness for my Mountain Rescue team. I am also fundraising for Mind and raising awareness for mental health.
I am a proud father to my little Edward, but the first 4 months of his life were challenging, and my wife suffered from postnatal depression and myself with burn-out from work and stress. We got the help we needed, but mental health needs to be talked about more. It's okay to not be okay!
